Mecca Bingo and the Rank Group colleagues got together and smashed the World Record for playing the largest game of office bingo. The previous world record had been held by the Philippines for the last five years, which stood at 97, but Mecca and Rank totally smashed it with a record 235 players. The game was played at the Maidenhead headquarters on Tuesday 12th of September and raised over £400.

Paul Heath, who is an experienced bingo caller with Mecca Bingo, and has worked there for 28 years, had the pleasure of hosting the game
Great Fun
The spokesperson from Mecca Bingo – Caroline Webb said they had great fun and it was good way to test their bingo skills, and also raise some money and awareness for the charity.
Donations
Everyone that took part in the office bingo game made a donation to the Carer’s Trust, which is a charity partner of Mecca and the Rank Group. The Carer’s Trust was set up help offer support to the 7 million carers in the UK that do some fantastic work.
Carer’s Trust to benefit
The CEO of the Carer’s Trust, Gail Scott-Spicer was said to be delighted with the amount that was raised and that the fundraising office bingo was a great success. The money will be put in a grants fund which is used to support unpaid carers by giving them the skills and equipment that they need as well as making sure their health and wellbeing are fully supported.
