The lucky winner was playing the national game at the Metrocentre in Gateshead, when one by one, their numbers came up. When they called house, all the other players clapped and cheered as the huge £50,000 prize was won.So what would you spend all those winnings on? New car? New clothes? Designer shoes and handbags? Well, the lucky winner will be taking some time to enjoy the sunshine and treating family. They said: “When the caller said I’d won £50,000 I couldn’t believe it. I’ve never been on holiday abroad so I’m going to book a holiday, pay off my mortgage and car, and treat my kids and grandkids.”

Buzz Bingo in Gateshead only re-opened a week before the win after closing in March due to the Covid pandemic. After staff at the venue undertook a whole host of new measure to ensure the venue was Covid secure, including social distancing, perspex screens, hand sanitizers and thorough cleaning, venues have gradually been opening since the start of July. 
Staff at Buzz Bingo were delighted that such a huge jackpot was one so soon after re-opening, with the assistant manager, Justine Curren saying: “We can’t believe that just one week after reopening we’ve had a player win the National Game and scoop the big £50,000 prize. We’re delighted to bring a little happiness to the community. The atmosphere when they won was incredible. Everyone was on their feet cheering. It’s certainly a moment we won’t forget.”We’re sure the jackpot win will bring great joy and many congratulations to the lucky winner!
