Tombola has recently reported an increase in revenue after successfully expanding its services throughout Europe. The company is one of the biggest bingo companies online. Based in Sunderland, the company managed to secure a £44m turnover as of the year ending on 30th April 2014. This is an increase from £39.8m the year before.The company’s European success has enabled it to increase its workforce to 243 from 220. An additional 23 administrative and production staff have been employed. Its pre-tax profits also improved to £12.2m up from £9.1m the year before. Directors have claimed the rise in turnover is down to the company’s ability to grow and thrive in the industry.Written in a financial report, the Directors stated: “The Group’s net profit before tax grew to £12.2m as a result of increased revenue in the year controlling direct costs more efficiently.”Now Tombola is focusing on the development and research of its products. They are dedicated to ensuring their products are of the highest quality. There was a total of £7m worth of dividends paid throughout the year. In the previous year no dividends were paid at all.Each year since 2007, Tombola has seen its profits rise continually. Its clever marketing has partially contributed to its success. It even signed a shirt sponsorship deal with its local football team – Sunderland AFC.It has managed to remain one of the leading online bingo companies in the UK for over 50 years. All of the games offered on the site have been developed in-house by a talented team of software engineers and designers. Its most recent site was introduced in May 2012 in Spain, though in 2011 it also broke into Italy; one of the most popular countries in the gambling world.Its continued success proves how dominant the company is within the industry and it shows no signs of slowing down.
