Phil Walker has been appointed as the new online Manager Director for the William Hill’s UK & Ireland business. Phil previously held the role of Executive with Ladbrokes Coral and then went on to be Chief Commercial Officer of the Gibraltar Stock Exchange. Phil will take over the role from Grant Williams who took up the position at the start of the year. William Hill put forward a bid of £242 million (SEK 2,819 million) for Mr Green just a few weeks ago, and hope to complete the deal in January 2019. 
Strong track record
William Hill chief digital officer Ulrik Bengtsson said “Phil comes to William Hill with a strong track record in the industry and will have a clear focus on the UK and Ireland markets moving forward and will be key to achieving our ambitions for digital growth in the coming years”. “We wish Grant well and thank him for his work in improving the online business over the last three years.” Commenting on his new role, Walker said: “It is great to be back in the industry and with one of the most trusted brands in the sector.
