Mecca Bingo has become the first bingo company to use Playtech’s innovative omni-channel technology across its whole product range.
Playtech Omni-Channel Technology
Playtech One allows a seamless transition between different devices, allowing players to have the very same experience no matter what they are playing on. This includes hand-held terminals in bricks and mortar bingo halls as well as desktops, mobiles and tablets. The achievement marks the first time a bingo provider has streamlined its content across online, mobile and retail platforms. To make potential customers aware of the move, Mecca Bingo is currently planning a huge marketing campaign highlighting the omni-channel technology. This will take place both online and in branches so keep your eyes peeled for details. What we do know is that part of the promotion will involve two of Playtech’s most popular slot games, Adventures in Wonderland and Heart of the Jungle. These two slots have already gone live on all platforms, including hand-held terminals. The official launch of the ‘anytime-anywhere’ connection will also see the new Mecaa Max hand-held devices being introduced. The change comes after Playtech launched retail server-based software across Mecca Bingo’s entire suite of 2,300 UK terminals and various other omni-channel system integrations earlier in 2015. “We’re delighted that this strategically important project has come to fruition following the nationwide software agreement we signed with Playtech earlier this year,” said Mohammed Zabed, head of slots at Mecca. “This is a bingo-first and goes a long way towards meeting our omni-channel strategy and, more importantly, our customer needs.” Playtech’s chief operating officer Shimon Akad added: “The retail team, in line with our pioneering omni-channel strategy, is going from strength-to-strength, as is our relationship with Mecca following the successful retail software roll-out this summer.”
