The bingo world has a new big name at its core, and that name is Buzz Bingo. Over 100 bingo clubs from Gala Leisure as well as various online outlets have been rebranded as Buzz Bingo in an effort to bring players back to the bingo industry. With taxes on the rise, and the continuous focus on compliance, jackpots at bingo clubs have for lower, as have general game prizes, so it’s a tall order for Buzz Bingo to try and reverse the trend.
What to expect
A brand-new television advert for Buzz Bingo has been launched, coinciding with the release of the rebranded Buzz Bingo online bingo site. The advert sees a man in his kitchen being disturbed by a red bingo ball, before switching to three people having fun at a Buzz Bingo club, before moving on to a lady relaxing in a bath while playing online bingo. The concepts of community and ease of access are clearly the main selling points with Buzz Bingo, and a classic look to the advert is clearly trying to remind people of the immensely popular bingo clubs of old.
Change of tone
Recently, the trend amongst bingo brands when it comes to adverts is to use a popular song, and rewrite the words to create a catchy bingo jingle, but that’s not what happens here. Instead, Buzz Bingos advert uses a traditional polka tune best known from the Moonraker James Bond film, clearly trying to stand out in the sea of very similar adverts. Whether this giant rebrand and accompanying advertising campaign will be enough remains to be seen, but a focus on the community of players has proven successful with other brands, so it’s a possibility. Only time will tell if Buzz Bingo can pick up the slack and help the fading popularity of former Gala Leisure clubs and online bingo sites. https://youtu.be/DC49D5xa12U
