Bet365 has launched a new live lottery product called Lotto365, which is powered by SIS, the owner of the 49’s Live Numbers brand. This new product aims to add to Bet365’s lottery offerings, which already include markets for 49s, Irish Lottery, Irish Daily Million, Spanish Lottery, New York Lottery, German Lottery, French Lottery and Canadian.
Live Lottery Draws
Lotto365 offers live lottery draws every five minutes, 23 hours a day, which are created and streamed from SIS’ broadcast studios in Milton Keynes. Players can watch the live stream draws by logging into Bet365. Each game consists of 36 balls, and players need to match five numbers to win up to £100,000 from a £1 stake. Players can also win by matching fewer numbers, with prizes for matching 4 numbers being £500 and £36.50 for matching 3 out of 5. Players can choose to select between 1 and 5 numbers to play. In addition to this, players also have additional betting options such as betting on the colour of each of the balls drawn, odds and evens, and Hi-Lo.
Previous Draw Results
Results of previous draws are shown on the Bet365 website, along with an extensive section that highlights the hot numbers and cold numbers based on recent draws. This lotto data is also shared on the 49’s website alongside their own twice daily 49’s draw and Irish Lotto Bet.
Comparison to Other Bookies
When compared to other bookmakers, Bet365 offers a good mix of lottery options. Ladbrokes and Coral offer 3 options each, Unibet and Betfair offer 0 options, Paddy Power offers 5 options, and William Hill offers 9 different markets including the Polish Lotto. However, none of them are as prolific as Betfred, who boasts 13 different lottery books including The Greek and Australian games. Betfred also has three of their own games: The Nifty Fifty, Fred’s 20 Ball Draw, and Fred’s 49 Ball Draw.
Conclusion
It remains to be seen whether other bookmakers will look to improve their lottery offerings to boost interest for players. Bet365 has stated that their new Lotto365 product will be “highly appealing”. However, it is unclear whether there is a market for so much lottery action. If it proves to be successful, other bookmakers may look to improve their own offerings, or find another partner to develop a similar product.
